You know we have so many organizations and Companies around us that are working hard to make a change for good. Few of these organizations have relatively bigger impacts on our lives as compared to others.
One of these organizations that we are going to talk about is American Kratom Association. I truly appreciate that you are here finally, and are curious about this fascinating organization and why we are supporting their efforts to achieve complete legality.
Let’s deep dive into the details and understand AKA’s mission.
About American Kratom Association (AKA)
The American Kratom Association was formed in 2014. One of the biggest goals of this organization is to restore full nationwide access to kratom strains. At the same time, it also fights for the freedom of consumers who buy kratom in the US. Currently, the organization is struggling to get the restrictions on Kratom lifted in certain states such as Alabama, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Indiana, Vermont, and Rhode Island.
Their Vision
The American Kratom Association was formed in 2014 and officially launched in 2015, to protect the right of all Americans to use the natural botanical Kratom.
The AKA was formed to organize and represent a community of responsible consumers, provide the general public with clarification surrounding matters of health and wellness where Kratom could play an important role, educate lawmakers and regulators and support scientific research efforts.)
The Mission of About American Kratom Association (AKA)
It is very important to understand the reasons behind the founding of an organization and what are the goals that they are working to achieve today. The American Kratom Association works to help protect their ability to use Kratom for improved health and well-being. According to their website, their mission is divided into five main categories. They have five main goals, Let’s have a look at them:
Educate
Kratom has many beneficial purposes and is an all-natural alternative. Our goal is to educate all Americans from potential consumers to regulators and everyone in between.
Global Awareness
We hope to demonstrate responsible use and practical knowledge other countries may study when considering Kratom legislation.
Amplify
We represent thousands of Americans that each have a story to tell. We believe the current environment in the United States often does not listen to individual voices and together we will make our voice heard.
Protect Natural Resources
Kratom is a precious natural resource. We support and advocate for sustainable harvesting techniques and reforestation efforts.
Support Customers
We believe many political and private entities don’t make the needs of the consumer and constituents a priority. Our goal is to change that.
Protecting The Legal Status Of Kratom
Talking about the legal status of kratom, so it is on the borderline. While it is in no way illegal to use, it is not regulated, acknowledged, classified by the FDA. AKA has worked very hard to advocate for the safe and legal use of kratom. They make sure for consumer protections for those who want to use kratom, with protecting the kratom consumers from untested Kratom products, this also means that the AKA is doing their best to protect the legal status of kratom.
GMP Compliance Program for Safety
AKA has released their quality standards program based on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for Kratom vendors. They developed this AKA GMP Standards Program in an attempt to improve the credibility and safety of Kratom products that are being sold within the USA.)
How Does This Program Work?
The GMP Compliance Program of AKA works by setting up a series of standards that must be followed by the vendor when processing, making, and selling kratom. The vendors which qualify for the GMP compliance program and commits to the standards provided by them are more likely to sell high-quality kratom to their customers.
Preventing The Ban
AKA believes in the importance of true and factual information. For many years, Kratom consumers have feared the (FDA) will force the (DEA) to instill a total ban on Kratom. Due to the misconceptions about Kratom. This is false, of course, and the American Kratom Association is driven to clear up this misinformation.
- They provide people with all the relevant information needed before they decide to digest the plant.
- AKA continues to release educational materials to customers, vendors, suppliers, lawmakers, and government agencies such as the FDA.
Advocacy & Outreach
In addition to protecting consumers from untested Kratom products, this also means that the AKA is interested in protecting the legal status of Kratom.
- American Kratom Association has worked continuously to advocate for the safe and legal use of Kratom.
- They are also working to ensure that Kratom remains legal for export in Indonesia.
- In addition to helping pass consumer protection laws in Utah and Georgia.
Why We Need American Kratom Association (AKA)
Some people might not see the need for an organization like the American Kratom Association. After all, isn’t it up to the FDA and the government to determine what is and what is not safe?
While we agree that government organizations should play a role in deciding what is and what is not safe to use, we know that Kratom has a solid background. Unfortunately, several biased studies and dishonest media reports have tarnished Kratom’s image.
Mistakenly linked to the opioid crisis, Kratom is at risk. An organization like AKA is needed to ensure that Kratom consumers will able to continue safely and legally using Kratom.
Why Should Support AKA
AKA currently estimates as many as 15 million Americans that use Kratom safely for their well-being each year. The resources, support, education, and advocacy that the American Kratom Association provides to the community are making it stronger and safer each year. As a high-quality Kratom vendor, we pride ourselves on being able to support and represent the values that AKA has proven to be so important in our ever-changing industry.
Important About AKA
On the CISION website, it is mentioned that :
“David Herman, Chairman of the AKA, called upon FDA Commissioner Gottlieb to pull back the curtain on the “black box voodoo computer model” that was unveiled by the FDA to justify their continued ‘War on Kratom,’ this time claiming their computer model conclusively shows kratom is an opioid, and therefore had to be banned.”
