Final Frame
In its final week, “Three Fragments of a Lost Tale: Sculpture and Story by John Frame” continues to make headlines. Check out what people are saying in Art Ltd. Magazine, Art Week LA, Huffington Post, and the Los Angeles Times. And make plans to see the show before it closes June 27.
The Eyes of John Frame
John Frame’s exhibition at The Huntington is a tour de force, the culmination of six years of working in isolation to create a cast of characters composed primarily of wood and found objects. The haunting, soulful tone that underscores the exhibition is set in large part by the characters’ eyes.
Frame by Frame
Next month, a new exhibition featuring the work of California sculptor John Frame opens at The Huntington. Filmmaker Johnny Coffeen explores the artist’s process in a 8-minute film, scored by Frame. It will be presented in the exhibition with Frame’s own stop-motion animation film featuring his handmade characters.
