This Week at The H is a weekly feature here at Verso. Stop in each Monday to find out what’s happening throughout the week at The Huntington!
Happy Labor Day! We are indeed open today, thanks to many hard-working staff members. Today also marks the last day of summer hours. For complete information about hours and admission prices, visit this page on our website.
TODAY is also your last day to visit the exhibition “Useful Hours: Needlework and Painted Textiles from Southern California Collections,” on view in the Chandler Wing of the Scott Galleries. On Verso we explain how the exhibition “marks the point where the line between the practical and artistic becomes joyously blurred.”
Next Monday, Sept. 9, between the hours of 12:30 and 4:00 p.m., we invite you to take a peek inside the Japanese Garden’s ceremonial teahouse and learn the traditions behind its use. Informal tours are offered at hourly intervals on the second Monday of every month. No reservations are required, and tour is free with general admission.
For information on events that require registration and/or additional fees, please check out the calendar on The Huntington’s website.
