This Week at The H is a weekly feature here at Verso. Stop in each Monday to find out what’s happening throughout the week at The Huntington!
JUST OPENED: This past weekend, we opened “Junípero Serra and the Legacies of the California Missions” in the Erburu Wing of the Virginia Steele Scott Galleries. Check out some of the great press it has been getting here, here, and here. And in case you missed it last week, we have a related Verso post for you here.
Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., is our Ranch Open House. We invite you to self-tour The Huntington’s urban agriculture site and take home some fresh ideas for sustainable gardening. The Open House is free with general admission.
Sunday at 1:30 p.m. is the Tropical Nursery Tour. Explore the botanical nurseries where rare orchids, aroids, and carnivorous plants are grown in this tour with Dylan Hannon, curator of tropical collections. Reservations are required. THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT. (NOTE: We have two more of these tours coming up—on Sept. 22 and Oct. 22—so be sure to make your reservations early by calling 800-838-3006 or following the dates’ hyperlinks. For these upcoming tours, there will be a $5 fee, and non-members will need to pay general admission.)
For information on events that require registration and/or additional fees, please check out the calendar on The Huntington’s website.
