This Week at The H is a weekly feature here at Verso. Stop in each Monday to find out what’s happening throughout the week at The Huntington!
JUST OPENED: This past Saturday, we opened a new exhibition the West Hall of the Library. “Illuminated Palaces: Extra-Illustrated Books from the Huntington Library” features more than 40 works representing the eccentric art of customizing printed books by adding illustrations. The practice, also known as “Grangerizing,” was popular from the late 1700s to the early 1900s. It is on view through Oct. 28.
Wednesday is the last day of National Ice Cream Month! Head over to our Tumblr to celebrate the occasion with a few tasty photographs—posted recently in honor of National Ice Cream Day—from our Southern California Edison photo archive.
Do you know about Squint? A weekly feature on our Tumblr, Squint is an every-Thursday post that features snapshots of small, obscure Huntington details that catch our eye. It’s a little window into some of the delightful minutiae that bring a smile to our collective face. Stop in this week to see where our eye takes us this time.
For information on events that require registration and/or additional fees, please check out the calendar on The Huntington’s website.
