Toshie Mosher, a member of The Huntington’s Board of Overseers, talks about what The Huntington’s Japanese Garden means to her—from the calm tranquility of the landscape to the blend of features conceived by artists and craftsmen.

The Japanese Garden celebrates its centennial with a reopening on April 11, 2012, after a year-long renovation that includes a new tea garden and teahouse as well as the restoration of the Japanese House.

  1. Oh how beautiful! When I was a ltlite girl in California we used to visit the Japanese gardens and I remember how much I loved it. The koi were my favorite parts. What a wonderful place! Love the photos.
